I had tons of memories created at SM Fairview's Foodcourt. When I was in high school, my friends and I would usually have lunch or snacks there because they have the most affordable meals and our school's just 5 minutes away from the mall. My classmates and I would also use the food court as a meeting place whenever we have to make group projects or other activities. I could say that my friendship with my high school buddies have developed there.
I have noticed recently though that a section of the food court was closed. During an event held last week, I found out that it was because of a renovation done at SM Fairview's Foodcourt. And I have definitely seen the improvement! From what I can recall, the lights in the ceiling used to be too loud, seats were cold and bleak, and the music was too upbeat. Now, the wide, open dining layout with colorful and comfortable seating gives an airy, bustling, cheerful and inviting ambiance as you walk through an entire stretch of food outlets to choose from.
I have also noticed new names at the newly-renovated SM Fairview Foodcourt. The food offerings are now a diverse mix of cuisines from around the world while the Filipino dishes give customers a chance to experience regional delicacies all in one place. The best thing about eating at SM Fairview Foodcourt is that you are assured that your meal is served fast and fresh. You can even see your dish being prepared through the open kitchen of some food outlets. Anyway during the said event, here are some of the dishes that we were able to savor:
Bakareta from Ted's La Paz Batchoy |
Beef Pepper Rice from Pepper Lunch |
Grilled Tuna Belly from Davao Tuna Grill |
Tocino Vegetarian from Harvester's Vegetarian |
Lechon with Rice from Lydia's Lechon |
Goto Supreme from Goto King Plus |
Lechon Belly from JG Salo |
Bibimbob from Mr. Kimbob |
Double Cheese Burger from Tropical Hut |
Super Jumbo Squid from Inihaw Express |
Bagnet from Casa Norte |
Pork Asado from Oriental Bowl |
Salisbury from Sizzling Plate |
Lasagna Supreme from Greenwich Pizza and Pasta |
Honey Garlic Chicken from Chin's Express |
Signature Takoyaki from Ohayo Takoyaki |
Breaded Fish Fillet from Handaan Grande |
I can't really say which one was my favorite among the dishes served because they have their own distinct taste and edge. I guess it's best to try all of the food outlets found at the food court until you could find the one that would make you come back again and again. Whether you are looking for a fast, hot filling meal or looking to enjoy bonding moments over good food with family and friends, the new Foodcourt at SM Fairview is the perfect place to meet and eat.
I guess the renovation doesn't result to the loss of any memories that were created there, but instead to help create better moments and strengthen more friendships. And I am extremely happy that I was able to create new memories here at SM Fairview's Foodcourt with my blogger friends. :) Please visit SM Fairview's new Foodcourt at the lower ground floor, in front of the supermarket.
XO, Mish
