Initially, I thought that my post-pregnancy problem would be losing all the weight that I've put on. Everyone, especially my lola, kept on reminding me to watch my diet cause I might never be able to get back in shape. Luckily, I got my pre-pregnancy figure in no time. Thanks to breastfeeding, sleepless nights and law school! Now when I look at myself in the mirror, I do not really see any post-pregnancy damage except for my stretch marks which I have come to love and accept. But when I come to think of it, my real beauty problem is actually something I've had for long: my uneven skin tone.
I've didn't really have the nicest skin growing up. Yes, I rarely have pimples, but my skin is not even and makinis at all. I was very tanned when I was in elementary school because of frequent swimming since my sisters and I have free access to a swimming resort nearby. We'd go there almost everyday to frolic under the sun. On top of that, my family and I would go to the beach at least once a year. Who could not resist the sun, the water, and the sand? No one!
I was a beach bum! (Clockwise) Bolinao 2010, Guam 2009, Bataan 2011 |
Upon entering high school, I got more conscious with my skin and refrained from swimming and being exposed in the sun whenever I could. Of course, we'd still have our annual beach trips. However, I was never able to achieve the skin tone that I was aiming for. I still have that dark face, arms and legs and got lighter skin tone and better skin texture on my body and thighs. I know that tan lines are hot. But after quite some time, they could look very unpleasant. Moving forward, my pregnancy has also contributed to my uneven skin tone. The darkening of some body parts is just inevitable, especially that I had a baby boy. Sadly, my underarms, the back of my neck and inner thighs got darker. It subdued but never returned to its original shade.
Almost due! You could probably see what I am talking about here. |
If I would be given a chance by the generous Santas of Flawless to have the clear and even skin that I've been dreaming of, I would definitely try their Flawless White! I've tried different brightening, whitening and lightening soaps, lotions, oils and creams, you name it! But none of them seem to work and even out my skin tone. I think it's about time that I try something that would enhance my skin's appearance from the inside. There's nothing to be feared as I am assured that the procedure is safe cause it is done by only by the licensed doctors of Flawless. Not only do I get the clear and bright skin that I want, it also serves as an anti-oxidant. It's like hitting two birds with one stone!
