Delight in Artsy Milkshakes and More at Crafty Creamery

If there is anything that would serve as my pick me upper, it would definitely be desserts. Anyone's mood would surely lighten up with ice cream and sweets. Desserts nowadays have became quite complex with their artistic presentation and I think it adds up to the experience. Recently, one dessert spot has truly made me go "wow" not only with how their humble stall is presented but also with their delectable milkshakes and desserts.

Crafty Creamery, a dessert place located at Devour Food Hub in Quezon City, is inspired by Pop Tate's Chock'lit Shoppe. Their small, yet unique stall is filled with candy colored signs and Archie and Friends artwork that would without a doubt remind you of Riverdale. Likewise, they offer milkshakes, soda shakes, and other desserts that would satisfy your sugar cravings.

Ways to Keep a Stylish Pregnancy

Although the pregnancy period is one of the most exciting time in a woman’s life, it comes with its other side. Many women dislike the idea that they cannot fit in their regular outfits. But being expectant does not mean you cannot keep your stylish lifestyle. You can still keep up with fashion and trends. Many celebrities such as Brooklyn Decker have remained fashionable throughout their pregnancy period. The best way to do this is by selecting the trends that you love and embracing them to your body. By during this, you will still dress sexy and modern during your expectancy period. Check out remarkable ways that will help you remain fashionable even as you are pregnant.

Wear heels

If you love wearing high-heeled shoes, you can still do so even when you are pregnant. But ensure your heels feel comfortable on you, and you will not slide and fall while walking. You may wear this if you are not having any pregnancy complications or have pains. Wearing heels will make you feel sexy.

Choose tight dresses

Well, if you ask your grandmother, he will tell you to wear baggy clothes. At least that’s what our mama’s believed in. But wait, we are in a modern world. You want to remain fashionable even with your baby. Tight dresses will make you look sexy. Wear dresses that are tight but can accommodate your bump.

Bright fabrics

If you love bright clothes, this is time to wear them. When you are pregnant, you are likely to be moody. This time you are okay the other you are irritated. Wearing fabrics with bright colors will enhance your appearance. This is especially on those days that you don’t feel good.

Clothes with horizontal stripes

You want your bump to come out nicely. You don’t want walking around, and people are gossiping about your belly. Dresses with horizontal strips show off your belly in a stylish way.

Expose your skin

Pregnancy is a time you want to enjoy everything from eating to dressing. If you have a small chest, this is the right time for you to avoid wearing the flaunt cleavage and padded bras.  Make use of this opportune occasion and put on a scoop-neck sweater or T-shirts.

Don’t forget flare skirts

Flare skirts can be a good option especially towards the end of your expectancy period. The skirt makes up for your proportions. At the end of your pregnancy, your belly is big because the baby is almost coming out. You might feel shy. But if you wear flare skirts you will feel comfortable and stylish. This makes the entire belly less visible because the upper body appears longer and the skirt is not a high waist.

If you are pregnant and worried about style, there is no need to worry. Celebs such as Gwen Stefani kept their style throughout their pregnancy period. The key is to choose something that is stylish but comfortable. If you pick heels, ensure they are comfortable when you walk around.

Simple Looks for Prom

Prom season is a month away from where I live. Back when I was in high school, I would probably be rattled and anxious as to what to wear to prom by this time. Up until now, I believe that prom dresses are quite important and memorable because prom happens only twice (sometimes once) in one’s life. I remember prom dresses used to be so expensive back then. It is either you have one customized for you by a fashion designer which could be quite pricey or go for the cheaper option which is have one rented from rental shops.

I know that there are some schools that are still implement dress codes during prom so a simple and elegant dress would always work. I prefer long dresses with a solid color for that effortlessly sophisticated look. I prefer a-line cut prom dresses because they work well for every body type. It is not too sexy as a mermaid dress, but it gives off an illusion of a smaller waist. With regard to material, chiffon is perfect because it is flowy and it does not restrain movement that much. After all, prom is all about having fun.

Here are some simply elegant dresses that I personally think are perfect for prom:

Red prom dresses work well to make a statement. This red chiffon princess-style prom dress can do just that and could probably make your way to being the prom queen.

Black never goes out of style. A black ruffled prom dress gives you enough edge for the event. The cinched waist also works well to give you an hourglass shape.

Regal is what first goes into my mind when I see this dress. The navy spaghetti strap prom dress with beadings make one effortlessly elegant.

For a sweet look, a pastel colored dress is perfect. This gray strapless prom dress gives off a lovely and demure vibe.

These dresses are all from Okdress.co.za. Better check them out now because they are all currently on sale. Wishing you a perfect prom!

Ultra Violet Bridesmaid Dresses for 2018

Bridesmaid Dresses MillyBridal

With the coming of each year, I always look forward to checking out the color of the year. People have different reasons in doing such, including incorporating the color in their daily fashion or in their house decors. As determined by the Pantone Color Institute, this year’s Pantone Color of the Year is Ultra Violet. I personally love violet, as you can see from my blog’s design, because it is regal and sophisticated. It has a way of making things appear elegant effortlessly.

That being said, I find violet perfect when it comes to bridesmaid dresses. When looking for the perfect bridesmaid dresses, you would want something that is simple and one that would not outdo the bride. I honestly find purple bridesmaid dresses simple, yet stylish. Even the ones without any embellishment on them would appear expensive. However, if you want to make a statement or want something bolder, red bridesmaid dresses would also work as an alternative. I believe that both colors have the same effect only that red has more impact than violet ones which are subtler.

When it comes to bridesmaid dresses, one online shop that offers quality products is Millybridal. While they may have very few choices, their styles are diverse – from mini dresses to long ones and from halter dresses to one with sleeves. Their dresses are also very affordable and placing an order online is quite easy. Dresses may be made to order or based on the sizes available on their website. To know more about Millybridal and their products, do not forget to check out their website.

2017: A Year of Unending Grace

I'd like to believe that 2017 was a replay of 10 years ago. It was the year when I graduated high school and got into my (and my parents') dream university. I've never imagine that everything would turn out the way I wished it to be back then, especially when I have already given up on UP after failing the UPCAT. Up until now, it still amazes me how life surprises us by giving us a 180 degree turn after we have already felt defeated. I have considered hard work, effort, and, most importantly, the littlest amount of faith left in me got me to where I was. 2007 was indeed a year of achievement for me and of seeing my dreams unfolding right before my eyes.

Last year was quite the same. After a decade of dreaming, uncertainty, and numerous plot twists, and a year of extreme hard work, I finally got to graduate from law school. It still feels surreal because I can still remember taking the entrance exams at San Beda not so long ago. The past year definitely went too fast. I found myself struggling during my last semester in school. There were times when I felt defeated every single day and it was hard to keep myself together most of the time. But in law school, you never even have time to grieve. My grades were shaky then and I didn't even know if I'd make it. Just like 10 years ago, things completely changed when I have already considered that I might extend another year in school. My grades turned out fine, even the ones that I thought I'd fail. I was able to graduate and make my parents proud. And I am just glad and relieved that my hard work has paid of and that school is finally over, for good. I am thankful that I get to progress a step in my ultimate goal and see one of my dreams unfolding right before my eyes once again.

With all that has happened, I should have known better. I should have kept my faith intact but I chose to think otherwise. During the bar review, my coach would always remind me to never doubt myself. I have to say that it was one of the things that kept me going through the latter part of the year - to have people believe in me when I doubted myself. Despite the numerous codal provisions and jurisprudence that I was able to encounter during the past year, keeping my faith was probably the greatest lesson that I got to learn and I hope I get to practice it this year. Thus, I chose not to promise or resolve to do anything this year but I prayed. I asked for a heart that never falters and faith that never wavers. I believe that those are all I need to get through this year.

I've always believed that last year is like an answered subconscious prayer. Just like when you secretly expect something to come your way, but you think that it was not meant for you at all or it was not for you just yet because of a thousand reasons - you doubt yourself too much, you don't deserve it, and so on. But despite it all, the universe conspires to bless you with it anyway. Maybe it was luck, or destiny, or prayers, or hard work, but I am extremely blessed and thankful nevertheless. With a grateful heart, I am looking forward to what this year has in store for me.
