Nutrition problems, such as childhood undernutrition and adult obesity, remain prevalent in the country. According to the DOST Food and Nutrition Research Institute, 6 out of 10 Filipino households suffer from poor nutrition. These nutrition problems are attributed to poor eating habits, such as skipping meals or having an unbalanced diet. And these unhealthy practices can ultimately lead to poor performance in school or at work.
To address such, Energen aims to educate and encourage families to appreaciate the importance of a healthy and nutritious breakfast to start their day right. Thus, Energen launches the Healthy Breakfast Movement - a series of community based events nationwide to educate families about the importance of eating a healthy and nutritious breakfast.
Just pour a sachet of Energen at a cup of hot water and you're good to go. Definitely masustansya, madaling i-prepare, and nakakabusog! |
The launch of the said program was held yesterday at Barangay Commonwealth, Quezon City. It was a fun-filled and energetic event hosted by DJ Eva Ronda and Papi Charlz. Families were afforded free one-on-one consultations with licensed nutritionists and nutrition education talks. They were also able to enjoy a fresh cup of Energen. The highlight of the event was the zumba session led by dancer Rochelle Pangilinan. Thereafter, several awesome prizes such as LED TVs, cash prizes, and more were given away in a raffle.
As a delicious and easy-to-prepare nutritious cereal drink, Energen helps complete the nutritious breakfast experience. It contains milk, eggs, cereals, essential vitamins and minerals such as folic acid, calcium, Vitamin A, E, B1, B6, and B12 needed to provide complete nutrition and energy. "Breakfast is the most important meal. Studies have shown that consuming a nutritious breakfast helps ensure that children and adults will have the energy that can sustain their productivity throughout the day," said Greg Anonas, Energen marketing manager.
The Healthy Breakfast Movement will also travel to Cebu City at Barangay Tinago Sports Complex on May 21 and Davao City at Davao City Recreational Center - Almendras Gym on May 28. Don't forget to drop by during these dates! These would surely be fun and exciting events.
Available in ginger, vanilla, and chocolate flavors, Energen is available at a P6.00 SRP at sari-sari stores, convenience stores or supermarkets nationwide.
