I am constantly on the look for the best burger joint, not having been able to try it for so long. Being a vegetarian for six years, I sometimes feel like I've missed out on so much. So far, there's only one joint that I frequent ever since I stopped being a vegetarian. Good thing I was introduced to Slammin' Mini Burgers so I could add another one to my list of favorites.
Upon seeing their menu, I had this feel that I've seen them before. Yup! They were the same Slammer Burgers joint - just totally revamped and upgraded! I remember Slammer Burgers having a branch at SM Fairview when I was in college. All I could order then was fish and chips. Now, I could finally taste their mini burgers!
Slammin' Mini Burgers differ from other joints obviously because of the size of their burgers. But do not underestimate these burgers. “Mini” doesn’t mean bite-sized; in fact, two Mini Burgers add up to more than your average quarter-pound burger, and three is more than a 1/3-pound burger. What's nice about this mini sized burgers is that they're good for sharing. The proportions are just enough, too. You could just eat one (or two) more burgers if you still have room in your tummy.
Aside from their (not so) mini burgers, Slammin Mini Burgers offers sides such as Beer Battered Fish and Chips and Slammin Wings. They also offer the limited edition Black Box Series which are only on the menu for six months. These are definitely not your ordinary burgers. As of now, they offer the John Candy topped with salted caramel, sautéed onions, melted cheddar, and bacon; the Romeo and Juliet with bacon, melted cheese, strawberry jam, and salted butter; and The Big Kahuna with pineapple chunks, sriracha mayo, teriyaki glaze, melted cheddar, and bacon.
During my recent trip to Slammin Mini Burgers in Trinoma (one of their 3 branches), I was able to try out their Slammin Trio with Medium Fries and Dip and Slammin Buffalo Wings. I also had this urge to try all these adorable drinks!
Slammin' Wings (New York Buffalo flavor) - P175 for 6 pcs. with dip |
Before trying out the mini burgers, I first had the Slammin' Wings in New York Buffalo flavor. I was surprised with myself for being bold enough to try out the New York Buffalo variant knowing that it would be spicy. Luckily, it was not as spicy as I expected it to be. Whew! The sauce was indeed tangy and the chicken was juicy inside. If you prefer something sweet though, Slammin' Wings also come in a Honey Garlic Glaze variant. This is best paired with their Sour Cream dip.
Medium Fries and Dip |
You could make your mini burger order a meal by just adding P70. For such, you get a medium fries, dip, and drink. I seriously cannot imagine eating burgers without fries! These fries are also available separately. They're placed in these cute cones and you could get them for only P85 (Big Dipper) or P115 (Double Dipper), depending on the size. These fries are super yummy. Crispy on the outside, yet moist on the inside and definitely not greasy at all!
Slammin Trio - P225 |
Since I am not familiar with the burgers that Slammin' Mini offers, I wanted to try out as many variants as I could. Normally, they offer their burgers by twos (Double) or threes (Triple). And if I were to order and eat them all, I'd be extremely full and probably won't be able to move right after. Good thing they have the Slammin' Trio set which has one of each of their bestsellers - All American Slider, Bacon N' Mushroom, and Slammin' Cheese.
Bacon N' Mushroom - P175 for Double, P255 for Triple |
These mini burgers did not disappoint me at all! The patty is very juicy and yummy. The texture of the patty is quite fine and does not taste fishy at all, unlike other burgers. As you can see, it is also quite thick for a mini burger. Among the three, my favorite would definitely be Bacon N' Mushroom. I just love anything with bacon on it! The All American Slider is equally as good with its steam grilled onions and melted cheese.
Blue Lemonade, Red Strawberry, and Slammin' Iced Tea - P35 each |
To conclude my meal, I had their refreshing primary colored drinks that comes in these super cute bottles. Among the three, my favorite would be the Red Strawberry variant. :) Thank you so much for having me Slammin' Mini Burgers! I look forward in coming back to try out the Fish and Chips and Black Box Creations.
