After a long day at work, there is nothing more fun and entertaining than hanging out with friends and family over good food. This idea was basically how a new resto-bar, After All Bar and Grill, was conceptualized. After All was started by a group of friends who felt that fun and business can go together, that friendship should last forever, and that a resto-bar set up can best achieve this objective, where there is good food, good music, and good laughter.
After All is conveniently located at SM Jazz Mall in Makati. It's a perfect after-office destination especially for those working within the area. I would also recommend going there for lunch where you could enjoy their food together with your office mates. During the day it's a hip lunch spot, but at night it becomes a chill bar with bands starting to play at eight in the evening everyday.
Of course, my blogger friends and I would not pass the chance to be able to try out various dishes from their menu. They actually have a diverse food offerings and I find most of them perfect with beer or any of their craft and classic cocktails.
Tapas were the first to head out from the kitchen. The Bellissimo Buffalo Wings instantly became a favorite. The sauce was really good. The wings were a tad small but it was quite reasonable priced. The Romanian Deviled Squid was cooked really well. I know this one's only an appetizer but I would delightedly eat it with rice.

During the day (particularly from 10:00 AM up until 6:00 PM), After All offers The Blue Jazz Plate Specials. Basically, these are set meals that are affordable priced at P160 each. Each set comes with your chosen viand, soup of the day, Thai Jasmine rice and iced tea. There are currently 10 meals for you to choose from, including Chicken and Pork Adobo, Manila Pinakbet, California Raisin Pork Belly, among others. We were able to try out their Thai Yellow Curry Chicken and it was a perfect and healthy lunch meal.

The highlight of the night was definitely the Deep-Fried Crispy Pata! I was surprised at how well it was cooked. The skin was literally crispy, even some time after cooking (because we had to take photos first.) The meat itself melts in your mouth. I am not a fan of vinegar-based sauce and this one comes with one but this dish tasted really well even without the sauce.

If you thought that Crispy Pata was the end of it all, you have to try out their Crunchy Chicharones Pork Sisig! I had loads of this during our visit. I know that the Crispy Pata and Sisig combo could lead to serious health problems (lol) but I just couldn't stop eating. The meat was really flavorful and the chicharon on top adds texture to the dish.

After all those meat, it was refreshing to have seafood and we were able to try several seafood dishes. One of which was their Seafood Teppanyaki. It has generous servings of various seafood and vegetables. The Crispy Shrimps, on the other hand, was perfect for drinks. I literally cannot stop eating that particular dish. Good thing, the serving's quite plentiful.

To literally end your day right, a glass or two of their craft or classic cocktails is in order. I am more of a beer person but these drinks might have converted me to a cocktail person. Anyway, we were able to try (i.e. sip and have a taste) various drinks that night.

Among these drinks, their signature drink Calibre was my favorite! I am not a fan of shake-type of drinks so I stick with the ones over ice. Calibre has rum in it. It's quite strong as the name implies, but it's quite an enjoyable drink. Fireball Coffee would have been a runner up because I love sweet coffee flavored drinks. Anyway, please always drink in moderation. :)
