Shoe Haul from Zalora!

I got a special discount code from Zalora for my birthday so I decided to use it to buy some new shoes for me and my baby Z. I was so ecstatic when they started offering Scarlet shoes because they're really affordable and almost all of the sizes are available. I ordered a pair of flats for me and a pair of baby slippers for Z last Friday and paid them the same day through Metrobank deposit (which is the most convenient payment method for me). Unfortunately, the package came in just this Wednesday. Probably because I live in Bulacan or probably because I opt to pay via bank deposit which takes more time because of the confirmation, etc. But nonetheless, I am happy because the package has already arrived. :)

Pretty color, right? :)
Scarlet A210 Flats in Powder Blue - P399

The shoes are quite small. I usually wear a size 6 or 36 and I really don't know why this pair does not fit me well. I don't know if I just have fat feet or what. Haha! I emailed Zalora about this. Unfortunately, they only replace defective products or if there has been a mistake in size or color of the product upon delivery. But it's okay because I absolutely love the color of the shoes! :)

Banana Peel Ninja Baby Slippers - P220

I actually had a hard time figuring out the sizes of Banana Peel baby slippers from Zalora's website so I decided to check out if Banana Peel has their own site to check for sizes. Fortunately, they have one and I was able to check the sizes of baby slippers from there. :) I don't want to go all the way to the mall to check sizes cause I think it would defeat the purpose of online shopping.

Anyway, this pair from Banana Peel is just so cute! The print is very versatile and can match any outfit. It fits Z perfectly. It would probably last us a few months because he's growing up so fast and I just wanted a pair of slippers that he can wear especially when we are going out. I am just so glad that baby Z likes them.He even wants to eat them. HAHA!

I'd say that my first shopping experience with Zalora was okay. There are still points of improvements such as the speeding up of the payments done via bank deposit and the shoe size chart. But I am still satisfied with their service especially that they are offering free shipping fee for all orders.

By the way, you may buy the products that I have also purchased HERE and HERE! :) Don't forget to use the discount code MishRendon1 to get a 10% discount on your orders. :)

NYC New York Color Ultra Moist Lipwear in Retro Red Review

NYC or New York Color probably has the most affordable makeup products in the market. Even cheaper than those from the local brands. The prices of their products starts at around $0.99 to $5.00. For today, I'll be featuring NYC's Ultra Moist Lipwear in Retro Red which my mom bought from CVS.

Info about NYC Ultra Moist Lipwear in Retro Red from their site:

Looking for uptown style? NYC New York Color Ultra Moist LipWear adds instant Upper East Side polish to your look at a rock-bottom price. A wardrobe of on-trend shades makes stealing runway looks simple. Built-in conditioner creates a creamy, dreamy texture on your lips for an ultra moisturized feel. From catwalk to sidewalk in seconds, now you’re ready to take on Manhattan!

BENEFITS:
Lips feel moisturized and deeply nourished
Comfortable, creamy texture
Easily glides onto lips
Doesn't feather or bleed

KEY INGREDIENTS:
Formula with conditioning vitamin E

Swatch on my arm

There is no doubt about the red in the product! The color is a vibrant red. It is more of a red-orange color though, than a bold red shade. But nonetheless, the color is promising and very retro!

On my lips (without flash)

The Good:
- The color is indeed a very bright and retro red! The pigmentation is great, too. This lip color is something I could wear during special occasions and events.
- The color lasts long even if the moisturizing effect has already disappeared. It stains really well!
- The texture is very creamy and it doesn't dry my lips. But I always use a lip balm before putting on lip color.
- It glides on smoothly and evenly.
- It doesn't have a weird or unpleasant taste or smell.
- It's very affordable! Only $0.99! :)

The Not So Good;
- It would have been better if the color is not too orange-y.
- The packaging is not good. It looks cheap and cap gets removed easily.
- The lipstick sometimes smears on my teeth.
- It is not available locally! :(

Have you tried NYC products? :)

Wet n Wild Mega Last Lip Color 915B Spiked Rum Review

This lip color that I'll be reviewing is from Wet n Wild which my mom got from CVS. I am not sure if they're available locally, but I've seen some Wet n Wild products at a local department store and they're also available at Zalora.

Info about Wet n Wild Mega Last Lip Color from Wet n Wild's site:

Lips take center stage! This 4-hour, longwearing lip color leaves a semi-matte, crème finish in one stroke. Glides on easily with rich, velvety color that doesn't cake, feather, or bleed. Made with hydrating skin-care ingredients: Hyaluronic Microspheres provide extraordinary adhesion to lips, an exclusive polymer complex offers cushion-like feel and texture, and natural marine plant extracts Coenzyme Q10 and Vitamins A & E help smooth lips.

I was skeptical in using this product because my dry lips can't handle matte lipstick, and they seem like matte lipstick at first sight. When used, it is actually more creamy than matte which I like so much. The color seem like brownish pink in the tube, but it's more reddish brown when worn.

Swatch on my arm
Swatch on my lips (no flash)

The Good:
- The color is very pretty! I could wear this color everyday. :)
- The semi-matte finish is great! It doesn't dry the lips that much because of its creaminess, but prepping up with a balm is still a must!
- It glides on smoothly and evenly.
- It stains like crazy! Proof that the color lasts.
- It doesn't have a weird taste and smell when worn.
- It's very affordable. Costs only $3 or less than P150.

The Not So Good:
- The packaging is not good at all. It doesn't look that cheap up front, but when you twist the tube it sometimes gets jammed.
- Unfortunately, the lipstick bleeds after a few hours.
- I needed to reapply every 3 hours which is not that bad at all.
- It am not sure if it's available locally, but from what I know Zalora carries Wet n Wild products.

Have you tried Wet n Wild products?

Confidence Boost Gear from Wacoal

Losyang is a Filipino term you do not want to get associated with. I am not sure of its literal English translation but it simply means that you look like you do not have time for your self anymore, thus, making you appear older than you really are. This condition is very common with moms. I believe that they're the most hardworking people. They have to balance out all their endeavors and their work as a mom never ceases. When I became a mom and entered law school, I became less and less conscious of how I look. I'd play with Z in the morning and study for the rest of the day. I'd put on anything I feel like wearing and rush to school. I sometimes fail to put on makeup or take the time to look for accessories. When I get home at night, I have to read tons of cases and memorize provisions again. 24 hours a day does not seem enough.

I believe that undergarments have a special way of transforming our entire look and giving us a more confident and positive disposition. They might be inside and hidden but they make a huge difference. We might be wearing an expensive and beautiful garments, but with the wrong underwear, such outfit cannot make us feel great at all. It is really important to not just feel confident outside but also inside.

Luckily, I was able to have a chance to try out Wacoal's undergarments. They're one of the largest underwear brand here in the Philippines and their products are known to be of great quality. I was giddy and excited when I was invited by Ms. Michelle of Wacoal to come to their office to try out their products. After my midterm examinations, I immediately went to their main office at Makati to pick out some items from their collection. As I have previously posted, my previous bras have already retired after I gave birth because they don't fit well anymore and I needed more support.

Since I no longer know my size, Ms. Michelle helped me measure my bra size so that the bra that I would be choosing would fit me well. As for the design, I opted for something simple and convenient to use. Here are my picks:

Black Bandeau Bra with Detatchable Straps

Ms. Michelle told me that this is one of their best sellers so I just have to get it. The design is very sleek. The support is just right as the sturdy cups and the under wire keeps the breasts in place. I love wearing sheer tops and this one is perfect to use underneath such.

Three Quarter Cup Bra

This bra is definitely the most comfortable bra I've ever used. I am not a fan of padded bras because I feel like I already have enough and this one is perfect for my liking! The pads are thin, yet it gives the support that I needed. This bra goes well shirts and fitted tank tops for a clean look.

Sorci Age Slightly Padded Bra with Lace Back

I just have to get this one! The color and the design are really cute and appealing. The pads are only in the bottom part as to give a push, but it's not that overwhelming. I was hesitant in getting a lace bra because they wore out easily, but I am assured that Wacoal's products have great quality. This, by the way, is from the Sorci Age line of Wacoal. The Sorci Age line is actually for the teens and the teens at heart, hence, the slightly small sizes. The regular line is usually for the ladies.

With my new confidence boost gear, I could now totally rock my outfits. No more pulling up of bras or adjusting every now and then. Wacoal products can definitely help moms, like me, to bring back their confidence by giving the right support and coverage that they need. I can now say goodbye to becoming losyang because these products can help me feel beautiful not just outside, but also inside.
