During an event held last week, we were asked to wear a casual chic outfit and the first thing that came into my mind was this little black dress that I got from Romwe. I've had this dress for probably two years now and I haven't been able to wear it because it was quite big. With my (very few) sewing skills, I just altered the shoulder part of the dress to fit me.

What sets this dress apart from other LBDs is the heart cutout in the back. It's just too cute and unique! And I bet this design is not available in department stores or even in local online stores. This dress is perfect if you want to stand out from the crowd. It also keeps the dress itself fun. Most LBDs scream being uptight and mature and this one gives a youthful vibe.

Hype this look!

I actually wanted to channel Holly Golightly of Breakfast at Tiffany's but she's just too fabulous and elegant. And besides, I'd be taking the train to the event so I have to keep everything low key and comfy. Instead with going all black, I decided to pair my LBD with nude flats and nude Charles and Keith bag. And to make myself look more sophisticated and ready for a fancy lunch, I added my Daniel Wellington watch, a Charriol bangle, and some pearl earrings.

I finally got to wear my new Rubi shoes that I got from Zalora. I am definitely tempted to get another pair cause they're so affordable! It was a bad idea though that I wore them first to somewhere I know I'd be walking miles cause breaking in them was painful. Nevertheless, I was happy to be able to achieve my goal - a (muted) Breakfast at Tiffany's look. ;)

Of course, I still wanted to achieve an all-out Holly Golightly look! But probably when I need not ride the train and for a night event rather than a day event.

Hope you like this look! :)

XO, Mish
