I have a new favorite pair of circle lens! :) After I lost my GEO Fresh Brown, I went back with my nerd glasses because all of the lenses I have are not that natural looking. They're not the ones that you could just simply wear in broad daylight cause they attract too much attention and besides I usually wear light make up so imagine what I'll look like with colored circle lens. :D
The lenses I'll be reviewing are GEO Tri-Color World in Gray from Eyecandys.com. The name says it all. It is tri-color, hence, they appear more natural than two-colored or single colored lenses.
Origin: South Korea
Water content: 38%
Diameter: 14.0 mm (Note: As of Mar. 2012, GEO packaging states 14.2mm, but the printed design remains 14.0mm)
Base Curve: 8.6
Duration: 1 year disposable
Packaging, Delivery, and Service:
The packaging of the lenses was well done! All of the lenses were safely placed in a bubble wrap so there's no such tendency for it to be damaged during delivery. Along with the lenses are two clear contact lens cases. In my opinion, these are better than colored ones because you'll be able to see if the lenses are already dried up. In my case, I have too many circle lenses that I cannot wear them all everyday. I prefer that the cases are clear so I could see the condition of the lenses.
The best part about the packaging is that they included a card where you can put the expiration date of your circle lens. It is important not to use lenses after their expiration has already lapsed so that we won't get any infection from the expired lenses. They also included a cute manual on how to use the lenses.
As for the service rendered by Eyecandys.com, it is likewise commendable! They were very fast in responding to emails. They also had the lenses delivered immediately. But since it was delivered during the Christmas season, it took some time for it to arrive here in the Philippines. However, Eyecandys.com has nothing to do with it. :)
Color, Design, Enlargement and Comfort:
|Without flash, natural light|
While the color of the lenses may be different from my actual eye color, this pair actually looks very natural on me. It blends really nice with my dark eyes. It still looks gray, but it does not look fake or anything when worn. The touch of brown in the inner part of the lenses makes the blending look natural. In my opinion, this pair looks great on people with dark brown eyes. :)
The color of the lenses actually looks a little bit lighter in the photos. When worn, they appear as if I actually have gorgeous gray eyes. The print of the lenses are not that visible when worn. I guess it's the blending of colors from dark gray, light gray to light brown that conceals the print.
I have not seen any enlargement with this lenses. If there's any, it is very minimal. To begin with, these lenses are only 14.00 mm. and if you'll look closely at the lenses, the outer area has no print on it. Also there is no visible and prominent outer ring in this pair unlike other circle lenses. But nonetheless, I love this pair because it is something I can wear anytime with or without make up.
As for the comfort in using them, these lenses got it! I have worn them for more than 6 hours at one time and I have not experienced any inconvenience or dryness. They're not that hard to put on, although I find it hard to figure out which is the correct side. Other than that, my GEO Tri-Color is amazing! :)
