The video says actually says it all.

I came across this info-mercial while watching my daily dose of telenovela the other day. At first, I thought it was a commercial for a beauty product. Later on, I realized that it was a campaign to raise awareness  on electronic violence against women. Being a newbie blogger poses some risks, as I open myself to the public through my posts. However, we could protect ourselves with these kinds of online abuses by being careful with our posts. I've seen a friend dealt with this and it was definitely not easy. She coped up with it eventually, but I'd say she was traumatized with the experience that she had. In our part, we should probably not give too much information such as  our mobile numbers, addresses and other private details. We should not post photos that could should be kept in private. This preventive measures are more than enough to stop this kind of abuse against women. Be informed ladies.

XO, Mish

  1. I agree, never divulge private things online :D

  2. This is really something everyone who runs a blog should watch and learn from.. Too many people are not very careful with their private information.. Thanks for posting!

    Kisses! xxx

  3. That's why I tend to not join giveaways and contests that require me to post my full name on the comment section. It also bothers me a little bit when full names are published when winners are announced.

Maybe I'm being too conservative, but I worked as an information security auditor.

    1. I rarely use my full name when posting online. I only use my nickname.

I agree. Some bloggers should be considerate not to post full names, IP addresses and other personal details.

      I don't think you're being conservative at all. :)
